Our Mission
Hope Animal Network is dedicated to advancing the welfare of animals in developing countries by cultivating a professional network of individuals from across the globe that can provide pro bono volunteer services for vetted animal welfare organizations in a number of meaningful ways.
The Problem We’re Trying to Solve
If you’re here, you’re probably already familiar with the tragedy of pet overpopulation and the widespread issues associated with animal neglect and abuse. These are the fundamental issues Hope Animal Network is addressing.
However, it’s *how* we’re addressing these issues that makes us different.
Problems for Animal Welfare Organizations
The problem for animal welfare organizations is that 99.9% of them are disastrously under-funded, leaving scant time and precious-few resources for achieving their altruistic goals.
And it’s a vicious cycle: most of these organizations are only able to get real results from being “on the ground” helping animals—there is little time for fundraising or developing an effective marketing strategy—but raising funds and building a strong “business” are critical components for keeping these organizations (and the animals they support) alive and kicking.
Problems for Volunteers
Volunteers (and potential volunteers) have a unique set of problems as well. Many of the volunteers in our network are professionals with demanding, full-time careers. They want to help, but priorities beckon: work projects, families, mortgages, kids and other commitments make it difficult to volunteer for regular, time-intensive or long-term projects.
There are perceived issues with volunteering for animal welfare organizations in different geographies as well. Volunteers in Hope Animal Network are located around the globe. The animal welfare organizations that Hope Animal Network supports are located in developing countries. And how do volunteers even find the right organization to support?
Hope Animal Network Bridges the Gap
Hope Animal Network is a matchmaking service for volunteers and vetted animal welfare organizations.
We are an all-volunteer non-profit (with zero budget) that curates specific project requests from organizations in our membership and promotes these opportunities to our broad volunteer network, and in many cases, to specific individuals.
Our volunteers help members with a variety of projects, from branding and logo design, to website development, marketing strategy & communications, grant writing, social media campaign development, “on the ground” help with spay and neuter clinics, and much more.
Volunteers are given the opportunity to help animals in developing countries in meaningful, much-needed ways without the need to travel or to make long-term commitments.
